Q: How long has this site been in existence?

A:  No clue.  The site was started as an exercise in HTML programming, so the initial date was never recorded.  The best guesstimate would put it around December of 1994.
Q: Where do you get story ideas?
A:  Mostly from reading old newspapers and books.  In rare cases from television or reader tips.  I love to read and I always keep my eyes open for interesting tidbits.  I have thousands of possible ideas, but I only write about the ones that I can authenticate and research to a reasonable depth.
Q: How do you go about researching a story idea?
A:  Once I find a story topic, I start scouring the web to see what is available.  Most of the time my searches are dead ends.  Occassionally I can piece enough information together to construct a complete story.  Sometimes I am shocked to find out that what I thought was a minor story was once a major story.
Q: How often is this site updated?
A: Not often enough.  Sadly, my real job occupies a great deal of my time.    Minor changes to the site are done on an as needed basis.
Q: How many hits does this site receive?
A: It goes up and down.  I don't have a page counter now, but when I did there were approximately 3,000,000 hits per year.  I have no idea of how many readers that translates into.
